剧情：
1936年，红军长征途经金沙江畔藏族地区，国民党勾结大土豪仇万里，企图阻挠红军渡江北上。仇万里让爪牙假扮红军劫走土司桑格的独生女珠玛， 挑拨土司和红军的关系。 红军则坚持党的民族政策，救出珠玛，渡金沙江开拔到藏区边界。仇又抢先潜入藏区。言称珠玛已被红军所杀 ，提供弹药武器让土司打 红军。为揭破敌人谣言，红军指导员金明带一个班掠送珠玛回家。但奉命给土司送信的战士被敌人杀害。 危急时刻，金明冒险上山与土司谈判，土司信疑参半，派亲信下山探看虚实。不料使者又遭仇万里暗算，他带伤到红军驻地，说明情况。在仇万里的唆使下，土司正要杀害作为人质的金明，珠玛带红军赶到，向土司揭露了敌人。 仇万里慌忙逃窜，坠人金沙江毙命。红军打通了道路，继续北上。
