剧情：
横眉冷对千夫指，俯首甘为孺子牛。在19世纪末的江南水乡，一个日后在中国文化界占有重要席位的人降生于此，他就是鲁迅（濮存昕 饰）。经历了人生几度沉浮，见过了人吃人的阴暗面，鲁迅与夫人许广平（张瑜 饰）于1933年来到上海，度过了人生最后的一段时光。凶险的暴雨之夜，丁玲和潘梓年遭到反动派绑架，侥幸逃生的瞿秋白求助鲁迅，民权会的负责人杨杏佛振臂高呼，要求立即放人，严惩绑架案的策动者。习惯了但依然反抗着白昼的黑暗，鲁迅牵着幼子海婴的手，从容走过杀机四伏的上海街头。光天化日之下，杨杏佛当街被杀。见过太多比自己年轻之人的死，甚至不会流泪与悲哀了的鲁迅悼念着逝者，谴责着利欲熏心歹毒非常的执政者。暂时避难的瞿秋白固然逃过一劫，可是在黎明到来之前，他的生命也必将献给伟大的革命事业。 砍头示众，沾血的馒头，是中国民众最大的不幸一幕……
